I'm starting my project "The Complete Rags of Scott Joplin" this morning. Engineer Dale Reigle has graciously allowed me to record at the WUWF studios, the piano is a Yamaha C-7, a real beauty. There are 26 of these puppies, I'm hoping to have 5 in the can at days end. I've noticed after years of playing these tunes I've managed to pick up some bad habits; I want the album to be 'note perfect' so the ragtime 'police' (busily gumming their authentic 1905 Worlds Fair waffle cones) don't send me tweets about missing a G# in the trio of 'Swipsey'.
